Kimberley Ishmael is an associate with the firm practicing primarily in the areas of education, labour and employment law and civil litigation.

She has acted on behalf of school boards on various issues including labour law, human rights, student discipline, special education, family law matters, privacy and governance. She has also acted in civil and labour and employment law matters for employers and employees in unionized and non-unionized work environments.

Kimberley has appeared before administrative tribunals, the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. Kimberley is a regular contributor to the firm’s KC Education Law Newsletter and the KC Human Resources Newsletter. She was also a contributing author to An Educator’s Guide to the Health and Safety of Students (2010).

Before joining Keel Cottrelle LLP as an associate in 2008, Kimberley summered and articled with the firm and was called to the Bar of Ontario in July 2007.

Kimberley is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
